Parade
Once again Windsor will come alive with colourful display of costumes, magnificently designed floats and costumes, masqueraders dancing to pulsating rhythms and
marching bands presenting a spectacle that has only been seen on the streets of Windsor when Emancipation was at its peak.
Volunteerism
Volunteerism is being encouraged for 2012. Note that all ages are welcome with a special call to youth and young adults. The experience and references youth gained has been invaluable!

Windsor's Emancipation Celebration is a community festival that invites people of all ethnicities to join us August 3rd to August 6th, 2012 as we celebrate Emancipation Day.
Enjoy live music, shows, delicious food, pageant, conference and a parade made up of vibrant costumes and colorful masqueraders.
So come and enjoy all of the heritage, beauty and culture Windsor has to offer especially during this annual four day festive comemmoration
of The Emancipation Act of 1833, that made Canada the final stop on the Underground Railroad to Freedom.
